Sunday - January 3
This week we will start out by reviewing the easy dance from last week called the Mamma Maria (video). The song is not in English, so don't try to understand the lyrics, unless, of course, you speak Italian!
Following this, by popular demand, will be Old Town Ride (video) (tutorial), which we did several weeks ago to the Lil Nas X song Old Town Road. Be sure to watch the video, for this group really enjoys the dance! As you may recall, this is a phrased dance and has 3 distinct sections. A little tricky in the middle, but well worth the effort!

Sunday - January 10

Sunday - January 17
Greetings, my Terpsichorean Friends!
This week we will start out by reviewing Love You Forever (video). This is an improver/intermediate, 2-wall dance with 32 counts done to the Scooter Lee song of the same name.
Next, we enter the realm of the more challenging with Whiskey River. This dance has been around for many years, and, although there are videos with variations online, they do not represent the version that we do, even though the overall choreography is roughly the same.
On a non-dance related note:

Sunday - January 24
Our first line dance this week will be reviewing Whiskey River. This is an intermediate dance that has been around for many years, and, although there are videos with variations online, they do not represent the version that we do, even though the overall choreography is roughly the same.
Following Whiskey River we will do another intermediate dance, Cowboy Rhythm (demo) (instruction - sorry, the only good one I could find is in french!). I don't recall the last time we did this one, even pre-pandemic! It goes pretty fast, but is lots of fun.

Sunday - January 31
As discussed last week, we are going to do three dances this week (TONIGHT)! My apologies for the late notice; I thought I had sent this out a couple of days ago.
We'll start with a review of Cowboy Rhythm (demo) (instruction - sorry, the only good one I could find is in french!). It goes pretty fast, but is lots of fun.
Following that will be a relaxing and easy waltz line dance called Gleeful Waltz (video). This is new to us and will be a great cool-down dance, giving us a chance to prepare for the third dance this week!
The third dance is also new to us: Shake Your Bacon (video). The song is "Schuttel Deinen Speck" which is German for Shake Your Bacon. This song has a wonderful, primal beat that is very catchy.
